Hi everyone.
Great news….. we are re-starting our Tuesday and Thursday evening training sessions from Tuesday 28th July.
Following a Cricket Scotland announcement we are now able to meet for training and for Intra-Club games. This will be subject to the guidelines issued by Cricket Scotland which can be found here
If you intend coming to training you will have to let Will’ Ford (via the club group chat or email – w.ford137@me.com ) know so that he can manage numbers.
Also, Mike will be down at the ground from 4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays if anyone wants to go down earlier than 6pm. Again, let Will’ know please.
We are hoping to get an intra club game organised at the NMP on the 1st August. It’ll be open to ALL members and teams will be chosen on the day. If you’re interested let Will’ know.
Well, it’s a start and there’s a fair bit to do with respect to the square and Mike could do with some help (Thanks to Nicky Polata for helping out this week). If you can spare some time get in touch with Mike.
Our kit supplier – Macron – have been badly affected by the current pandemic and have had to give up their premises at 1 Lotland Place.
BUT THEY ARE STILL TRADING VIA OUR WEBSITE SHOP.
We will be getting some sort of cricket this season, so, get your new kit ordered.
Please support them.
The latest statement issued by Cricket Scotland last night – 16th March 2020 can be found on our Facebook page
With that in mind, all coaching and other cricket activity has been suspended until further notice and we urge everyone to take every necessary precaution as we collectively aim to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
If you are feeling unwell and display any of the symptoms outlined:
• a high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
• a new, continuous cough – this means you’ve started coughing repeatedly
We would urge you to avoid any public interactions.Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you’re staying at home. Testing for coronavirus is not needed if you’re staying at home.
More information can be found here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
In the mean time, please be vigilant of others, keep an eye on your neighbours and loved ones, and adhere to government and public health guidelines during this challenging period.
We are planning to start outdoor training at the Bught Park this TUESDAY AT 6pm. It’ll be weather dependent of course AND may be affected by restrictions imposed due to the Coronavirus. We’ll keep you posted via Facebook.
