Next Committee Meeting will be on the 19th March at 7.00pm
Hello there, The club would just like to thank everyone that attended on the 11th of February your views and passion for the future of our club are much appreciated.
Following this meeting the club is delighted to announce that we have a new Club Captain in Shaun Thomas. He will be replacing Dave Dugdale who has been at the helm for the last 4 years and has helped the club make massive strides on and off the field during his time. Culminating in the firsts winning the North of Scotland cup a memorable day for the club.
There has also been a change in the Reserve Team Captaincy with last seasons Vice Captain Jimmy ‘The Butcher’ Lean taking over from Mike Evans. Mike led the reserves to an amazing unbeaten league title last year and finals appearances in both cup and T20 reserve competitions.
In off the field news two other roles were filled. Jamie Rodger becoming Junior Vice President and Matty Latimer taking up the position of treasurer. The club is delighted to have two younger members of the club getting involved!
At the start of February we will be running a series of lunch time cricket taster sessions at the High School, Inverness
It will be mainly S1 – S3 girls and boys we think and our aim its to get them interested in the game. So’ it’ll be mainly short, fun, sessions from 12.30 to 1.00.

Our Annual Awards Night was held on the 19th of October at the Crown Court Hotel. A variety of curries and puddings were on the menu and were demolished by those attending.
Food gone, it was time to present the awards. This year we asked Ken Ross to help with the presentation of Reserve League Champions Medals to the 2nd team squad. This season was theirs, they had won the league convincingly and undefeated as well as being in the final of both the T20 and Knockout Cup – What a performance. Well done to everyone involved.
Other awards given on the night were:
Player of the year – Shaun Thomas
1st Team Bowler of the year – Shaun Thomas
2nd Team Bowler of the year – Neil Gallacher
2nd Team Batsman of the year – Akash Ahmed
1st Team Batsman of the year – Dave Dugdale
Most improved Players of the year – Lewis Pacey and Finlay Saunders
Duck award – Matty Latimer (This was disputed by Matty of course as he was last years winner as well) but we felt he deserved it for leaving the duck in his garden !!!
Biggest overall contribution to the club during the season – Mike Evans
Hi Everyone. It’s time for our AGM
Date – 28th October
Time – 2pm
Venue – Crown Court Hotel
Now’s the time to get involved with your club keep up the momentum of the last two years.
As the end of season arrives it’s time to get the glad rags on and get along to the Bash.
We have lots to celebrate, again, this year and lots to talk about… it’s been one of those seasons.
The AGM on the 6th September for the Highland Cricket development Group has been postponed.
We’ll announce the new date once it’s been arranged.
Some great phots by Donald Cameron, taken at at the Northern Meeting Park on the 25th August. We were well beaten by another stand out performance by Pal Dami of Forres. However, our batting was good with special mention to Ian Ferrier who scored 75.
The first team have had a poor season by the high standard we set ourselves last year. So, we have to draw a line and start again. We have, however, had a great time playing the game we love with our mates.
The second team by contrast have had a storming season reaching the final of the 20:20 cup, sitting pretty at the top of the NoSCA Reserve League AND a final to play for the Reserve Cup. We are especially proud of this achievement as we have managed all of this with a side made up of non first team and junior players except for one (Gregor MacDowell). This must bode well for the future.
The next three weeks will be pretty exciting for the team and the club.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, please welcome Freddie John Ford to the club.
